Speaking of "not there anymore"...do these qualify: Hair on my head,..... Eyesight,.... Flexibility .... Memory...... Thank God I'm still sittin' up and takin' soup and my children are around to laugh at my foibles. How about: DAYTONS (now Macy's),DONALDSONS (most now EMPTY), STANDISH "Grade School" (when did THAT become "Elementary"? and: uncountable neighborhood DAIRY STORES (remember Pardino's on 35th & 21st? & didn't Lynette Berg's parents own a Dairy Store somewhere south of 42d & west of Cedar?). Also LITTLE TONY'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT (once owned by our classmate, the late, Charles Widell. Hope YOU can add to these lists or at least get some warm memories. |

Hello John, Sounds like you are falling apart...thought you had some repairs done, to hitch up your get-a-long. You'll end up at Ahern, renting some kibbles............. I assume Minnehaha falls is still.....falling, and that Minnehaha and Hiawatha are still contemplating the next step in their relationship... She's probably thinking ala Sir Walter Raleigh, and he's more calibrated to the Rhett Butler style of......"relationships". Trying to think of more "things" that are no more in that area, and it's tough. Marty's grill 34th and 50th. All the Mom and Pop stores that were on virtually every corner. I'm told the bowling alleys are a dying thing. Is that a true or fair statement? Still hard to believe that RHS no longer has a hockey team. T'was ever thus!!?? What all does that school ishbittleee to these days? Be well, larry |
